Functional principles
It is extracted from the nut of the Butyrospermum Parkii fruit, which contains 50-55% fat and approximately 10% protein. What makes Shea Butter unique is its high content of unsaponifiables. This 'unsaponifiable fraction' is particularly noble because it contains phytosterols, which are emollient, protective and stimulate fibroblasts to produce elastin and collagen, polyphenols with remarkable anti-free radical properties against sunlight and UV rays in general, and Vitamin A, E and F. The combination of these principles gives Shea Butter its nourishing, emollient, elasticizing and protective properties.
A completely natural product, it is recommended for treating dry, flaky, reddened skin with signs of ageing.
Allantoin is an amino acid with moisturising, soothing and restorative properties and is an effective skin protector. Depending on dosage, allantoin has a moisturising and decongesting effect at low concentrations (0.1-0.5%), and an exfoliating and cell renewal-promoting effect at higher concentrations (1-5%).
It has hydrating, antioxidant and regenerative properties.
Non diluted, certified Organic and made in Italy. 100% pure Helix Aspersa extract obtained through manual stimulation, which is stress-free for the animal. The first step consists in collecting snails that are one year or older and wash them in plenty of water. After that, they are gently moved around manually inside a tub for a few minutes, which encourages secretion. Once the slime is collected, the snails are rinsed in water once again (they are uncomfortable with the secretion of other snails) and brought back to the farm, where they continue to live normally. The slime will then be strained and micro-filtered to eliminate any impurities. This is an expensive and laborious method, but it produces high quality slime while keeping the snails alive and stress-free.
